The Byrna Launcher is an incredibly powerful and effective non-lethal self-defense option that can be taken virtually anywhere. Powered by compressed air (CO2), the Byrna Launcher shoots .68 caliber round kinetic inert projectiles that can disable and incapacitate a threat from up to 60-feet away. The no-recoil, easy-to-use, lightweight design of the Byrna Launcher makes it a valuable tool in the “use of force” continuum, and one of the most effective personal self-defense options for security professionals.
This course will be instructed by Wayne Moody, Jr., Director of International Training for BYRNA Technologies. Wayne’s pedigree is over 30+ years of law enforcement experience, use of force expert witness and multiple “rank of commander” sworn officer positions. Upon successful completion of this 8-hour course, students will receive an instructor certification which authorizes them to conduct training courses both in the law enforcement and civilian communities.
The 8-hour course is broken down into five modules, each with specific terminal learning objectives designed to ensure the trainer has a comprehensive understanding and can convey the correct knowledge and proper application, of the Byrna less than lethal platform. The Terminal Learning Objectives of this course are designed to ensure that, upon completion, the trainer has demonstrated competence in the following areas:
- Use-of-Force law, theory, and practice.
- Less-than-Lethal device capabilities and limits.
- The Byrna, it’s deployment and proper utilization.
- Successful demonstration, and qualification, with the Byrna.
