Special K-9 Explosive Detection Unit

Deliberate acts of terrorism are no longer limited to countries and government entities. Rather in modern times a broader range of high-profile potential targets and perpetrators of such destruction have become obvious. In a matter of seconds, anyone intent on causing mass panic and destruction can easily gain access to a venue that lends itself to large assemblies of innocent people. You can take a quantum leap in advancing your security by considering random utilization of K9 explosives search options. A K Street Group handler is prepared to design a random search program to add this extra layer of security before a threat becomes a reality.

Our K9

Zeus is our 6-year old German Shepherd who has been specifically trained to react to the presence of suspicious material in a “passive alert” manner. Zeus will assume a “non-command sit position” at the target area to signal his handler when he encounters a potential explosive device.

Handlers and Training

K Street Group handlers are highly experienced in K9 detection services. Our handlers are well schooled and have attended numerous training and education seminars on various subjects such as: Counter Terrorism, Suicide Bomber Recognition, Recognizing and Responding to an IED, Understanding the Effects of High and Low Explosives, Post-blast Field Searches, Advanced Canine Explosive Detection Searches, and other hand-on training seminars. Our Canines are trained to certify through the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) standards.
